Andrew

Andrew Shapiro is CEO of Lawndale Capital Advisors. Previously he founded and led Lawndale Capital Management, managing its activist funds for 32 years. He advises boards and investors on governance, shareholder engagement, capital allocation, special situations and restructurings. He is an independent director, a longtime NACD Board Leadership Fellow, and a Directorship 100 honoree. BusinessWeek once called him the 'Gary Cooper of governance ' for his straightforward, principled approach.
